  • I’m no Nancy Grace fan, but maybe she is referring to Steven Avery’s

    • Sorry, lost my thread… I’m thinking maybe Nancy Grace was referring to the complaint from one of the Avery family members that he statutory raped their 15 year old daughter, who is Steven’s cousin? If I read correctly, if Manitowoc lost the murder case, they were going to proceed with the rape charges. Even if this was so, Nancy Grace knows better than anyone that she should not be labeling someone a rapist who has not yet been convicted in a court of law. And if she’s referring to the case in which he was exonerated, then she’s just a ratings grabbing, unethical.. well, Nancy Grace.

  • She also did pretty much the same on the Dr. Phil show yesterday. And off topic a bit – There will be a part 2 on Monday with Sheriff Kenneth Petersen.

Keep plugging away Daniel, the house of cards will fall before long.

    • Thanks for the link. Won’t show in Aus for awhile I doubt, but it looks like Phil’s usual hyperbole and nothing ground breaking re from Peterson — the phone call re SA’s innocence in 1985? If anyone has been studying that case, it’s not news. It’s only more damning of the Sheriff’s dept and why SA was suing them.

  • Hillegas is trash. Dude clearly lied and is/was hiding something. Why can’t you go interview that little twirp. Film the whole thing so he can’t bullshit anyone.

    • I dream of being sued by Ryan. I think the adults in the room know why that isn’t going to happen.

      • Somewhere_in_the_desert

Because Ryan would have to give a deposition under oath. Good example of this would be Terry Hobbs vs Natalie Maines defamation suit. Didn’t work out too well for Terry but it sure was interesting.

    • I haven’t called him a murderer, and I fail to comprehend what has become a de facto taboo in talking about theories that diverge from the one Ken Kratz and the gang concocted. The Law has such deep power that no one who thinks Avery did it has any reservation against proclaiming his guilt. It is as though a conviction is a certification of truth even though we know how often people are exonerated. It is not enough to simply say that you do not believe that Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey did not murder Teresa Halbach, if that is, indeed, how you feel. If there is compelling evidence, physical or circumstantial, that strongly points to someone else you must begin to move in that direction because if Avery and Dassey didn’t do it, then someone else obviously did. This is basic logic, but it does have at least one subtle implication that is noteworthy. Merely by saying that Avery and Dassey are innocent and noting more specific you are casting suspicion on a much larger group of people than one single person. How does that make the much larger corpus of the suspected feel, I wonder. I’ve narrowed it down to one person. So far that person hasn’t turned in an alibi. That should be a fairly simple first step for an innocent person, don’t you think?
